Features of the coaching application Trainer4Riding
The athlete uses a training log conveniently accessible by a computer or a mobile device. With the help of the log, the training is documented and can be examined by the coach and the trainee. The rider can check the exercises assigned by the coach from his or her calendar. The rider can enter his or her own riding exercises or own personal reminders (for example, competitions, shoeing, visits to a veterinarian, etc.).
Information regarding the rider can be entered in the rider-specific profile – for example, strengths, development needs and precisely defined goals on weekly, monthly, and annual level.
The rider can create a single or several horse profiles and establish goals for each horse in the same way as in case of the rider.
The application facilitates comprehensive training set-up. The rider is guided to analyse his or her own training sessions, and the coach can monitor the actual performance and success. Videos of the exercises can be added to the log.
The rider can prepare his or her own training plan, or the coach can prepare a training plan displayed in the log, which allows precise, daily monitoring of the training process. A video, image, or other file can be associated with each exercise to support the plan.
The application allows remote coaching of the rider independent of time and place with the help of video, image, and audio functions. Through the log, the coach and the trainee can be in touch with each other over long distances and monitor the realisation of the training plan in case of equestrian discipline, physical, and mental training alike.
The log allows both group and individual training, since the coach can assemble trainee groups (for example, regional or national teams) with the help of the group function.
The feedback system also functions as a long-term monitoring solution and the storage platform for coaching documentation. Summaries from the log are comprehensive – this applies to both the horse and the rider.
From the coach database, a training programme covering the equestrian discipline, physical, and mental training domains can also be selected based on the needs of the rider.
The rider can choose a ready-made training programme or a training programme involving feedback from the coach. The trainee can communicate with the coach using the software and the coach can follow the rider’s practices over a video link.
